A suspected hijacking attempt aboard a Flydubai flight bound for Tel Aviv has raised major questions about aviation security after the captain was allegedly stabbed and the aircraft plunged into a rapid descent.
Passengers and crew managed to subdue the suspected attacker before the plane made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. Now, Israel is reassessing security procedures for foreign airlines and investigating how such a potentially catastrophic incident could have happened.
