Israel publishes hundreds of airstrike videos – but they only tell part of the story

Video Summary

Since the conflict in Gaza commenced, the Israeli military has released hundreds of online videos documenting airstrikes. These clips are generally presented to demonstrate operational success against Hamas forces. However, experts caution that such footage often fails to capture the complete extent of destruction occurring on the ground. Sky News collaborated with the investigative war monitor Airwars to analyze how the Israel Defense Forces utilizes aerial imagery over the past year. The investigation suggests a selective presentation of events where only specific aspects are highlighted while broader devastation remains unseen. This approach raises questions about transparency and the full narrative surrounding military operations in the region. The analysis focuses on the disparity between what is shown publicly and the reality experienced by civilians and infrastructure. By examining these released videos alongside independent monitoring data, observers aim to provide a more balanced view of the war's impact. The report underscores the importance of looking beyond official releases to understand the full scope of humanitarian consequences. This overview relies strictly on available public descriptions and channel information without inventing specific details or quotes not present in the source material.
